What is the inspiration behind this project?

Users across industries face fundamentally similar UX challenges—often because many digital experiences don’t take into account the way our brains work.

Product teams can get lost when they take user feedback at face value and don’t have (or take) the time to step back and uncover the deeper issues causing the user’s pain.

Sometimes, when a user says, “I want to see more data in one view,” it doesn’t mean they actually need all that data to make the right decision or take action. It may just mean the information being shown isn’t helping them do so. Is filling the product with more information the right approach? Not always.

The goal of this library is to serve as a reference for people trying to take that step back—to identify the real, higher-level problems that, when faced head-on, can unlock more powerful ideas and lead to more impactful solutions.
